This course discusses statistics that are generated from genetic data obtained from human remains and family reference samples. These statistics are communicated to investigators via Missing Persons Reports and databases. We will describe common statistical measures and demonstrate why numerical values are not always as expected, and will explain how DNA can be used in other disciplines to confirm an identity.
