Guest Biography
Christina Melander is a research public health analyst in the Victimization and Resilience Research Program in RTI International’s Division of Applied Justice Research. She has 7 years of experience conducting research with vulnerable populations, with a focus on participatory and community-based action research methodologies. Her research areas include human trafficking, sex trading, sexual violence, intimate partner violence, gender equality, and labor protections. Coming from a background in community practice social work, she brings broad community engagement skills to the field. She has led and co-led multiple projects and tasks, including qualitative and survey design, data collection, and analysis. She has extensive experience translating and disseminating research findings to multiple audiences.
